If a tree falls in a forest...?

Sound is the result of vibrational energy. Is there vibrational energy when there is a collision with a tree and the ground, on earth, in an atmosphere? Yes. The ground cannot speak, but it could quite possibly express vibrationally energy that perhaps, -if someone were listening, sound similar to the vibrations that constitute the sound owl.
